Bacon and Sweet Onion Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

• 8 slices of bacon
• 4 slices of cheddar cheese
• 4 slices of bread
• 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 10 minutes
• Cook Time: 20 minutes
• Total Time: 30 minutes

Instructions

• Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
• Melt the butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
• Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is softened and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
• Toast the bread slices until golden brown in a toaster or on a griddle.
• Place a slice of cheese on each of two slices of toasted bread to make the sandwiches.
• Top each with four slices of bacon and a heaping spoonful of caramelized onions.
• Wrap in the remaining bread slices.
• Warm sandwiches should be served.
