Toasted Egg Sandwich Recipe

This toasted egg sandwich is a quick and easy breakfast or brunch option that takes only a few minutes to prepare. Melted cheese, toasted bread, and a runny egg yolk are sure to satisfy your cravings.

Instructions

  • In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, after cracking the eggs into the pan.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Set the eggs aside after removing them from the pan.
  • Wipe out the pan and melt the last tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Toast the bread slices in the pan until they are lightly browned on both sides.
  • Top each slice of bread with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham.
  • To make a sandwich, place the eggs on one slice of bread and top with the other.
  • Cook the sandwich until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted to your preference.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside for a minute to cool before serving.
