Fried Egg Sandwich Recipe

A traditional breakfast sandwich with fried eggs and toast. This recipe can be made heartier by adding cheese and ham.

Ingredients

• Season with salt and pepper to taste
• 2 slices of bread
• 2 cheese slices (optional)
• two slices ham (optional)
• 2 eggs

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 5 minutes
• Cook Time: 5 minutes
• Total Time: 10 minutes

Instructions

• Toast the bread slices in a toaster or a skillet.
• Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
• Crack the eggs into the pan and season with salt and pepper.
• Cook until the whites are firm but the yolks are still runny.
• If using, top each egg with a slice of cheese.
• Remove the eggs from the pan by folding them in half.
• If using, place a slice of ham on one of the toasted bread slices.
• Place the ham on top of the folded eggs.
• Place the other slice of toasted bread on top of the eggs.
• Serve the sandwich cut in half.
