Thanksgiving Sandwiches with Turkey and Cranberry Sauce Recipe

These Thanksgiving sandwiches are ideal for utilizing leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. They're warm, savory, and sweet all at once, and the melted cheddar cheese elevates them to new heights.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 8 minutes
  • Total Time: 18 minutes

Instructions

  • Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  • On one side of each slice of bread, spread mayonnaise.
  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on four of the bread slices.
  • Top each slice of cheese-topped bread with 1/4 pound of roasted turkey.
  • On the remaining four slices of bread, spread 1/4 cup cranberry sauce.
  • To make four sandwiches, layer the cranberry sauce-topped bread slices on top of the turkey-topped bread slices.
  • On both sides of each sandwich, spread butter.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.
